I'm discovering that! It's interesting because with my people it's a celebrated occurrence. The story of my mother consuming my father is one of the most romantic I've ever heard! But many don't seem to understand that...

I imagine your perspective on romance has evolved since studying here. People seem to crave continuity of relationships, even if ingestion of one's lover feeds equally important appetites.

Evolved? Yes, I think so. My first few dates felt really short, even though I was consuming them as I was supposed to. I remember wanting nothing more than the opportunity for a second date.

Now that I've had second dates I want a third and... well, you get the point! Maybe one day I'll find the one I'm meant to be with forever.

Perhaps you are destined to be with someone who is intangible. Or regenerates. With very little susceptibility to nerve pain.
